El puerto maya de Río Lagartos siempre ha sido la entrada a este maravilloso mundo natural , nuestro antepasados mayas nos lo heredaron porque ellos sí tenían ética de respeto al medio ambiente y seguían y respetaban los ciclos naturales ! Y porque nosotros no cuidarlo y heredarlo a nuestras futuras generaciones !
El decálogo es como un código de ética como todo profesional debe de saber y ejecutar , así como los doctores , maestros , políticos y cualquier perfeccionista !
Todo operador de embarcación ( lanchero ) todo guía de turistas , todo cocinero o chef , todo mesero , biólogos , policías , todos los que estén involucrados y viviendo de la actividad turística cada uno debería de :
1. Capacitación continua que nos permita Conocer los ecosistemas que nos rodea en esta biodiversa reserva natural de Ría Lagartos ! Familiarízate con la flora y fauna local y endémica, además de los flamencos rosados, los cocodrilos y los manglares.
2.Respetemos y conozcamos las zonas especiales de alto impacto como : zonas de anidacion , zonas núcleo ( estos son las mejores zonas dentro de la reserva que no han sido tocadas por los seres humanos y no se deben de tocar ) , Evitar acercarse y mantener las distancias recomendadas por los especialistas en las colonias de aves durante la época de reproducción, zonas dentro alimentación y zonas de descanso de todas las especies !
3. No alimentar a los animales en vida silvestre :Esto Altera su dieta natural puede causar desequilibrios en el ecosistema.
4. Utilizar embarcaciones lo más ecológicas posibles , que causen el menor impacto posible , manejar correctamente los residuos de lubricantes( aceites) y filtros nuevos y usados , en centro de acopio destinado por las autoridades municipal .
5. La Educación ambiental debe de ser prioridad sobre los manglares: para tener la capacidad de Explicar el gran papel o rol en la protección costera y la biodiversidad.
6. Navegar con precaución a baja velocidad y siempre mantener una distancia prudente de otras embarcaciones.
7. **Evitar las practicas desleales, el acoso a los visitantes en todo lugar no solo al ingresar a la población o puerto , estas acciones dañan la imagen de la comunidad y la del país y a todos los prestadores de servicios establecidos!
